Arianna Huffington
Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington, a Greek American businesswoman and syndicated journalist is an author. She is the co-founder and CEO of Thrive Global, as well being the author of 15 books. Arianna Huffington has been a TV host, journalist writer, philanthropist, and philanthropist for more than 10 years. She is also the proprietor of The Huffington Post, an independently-liberal online newsmagazine. She was born in Greece then moved to England at the age of sixteen. In Cambridge University, she graduated with a MA in economics. As the first foreign student to serve as president in the famous debate club The Cambridge Union, at age 21 she took over the presidency. As a conservative syndicated blogger, after graduating she was able to be an influential voice for the Huffington Post. Her fame led to the recruitment of a variety of renowned contributors. Arianna became famous after she was elected as an independent in California recall elections to replace Governor Davis. She was also involved in a Detroit-based project that promoted cars that are fuel efficient. Forbes listed her as one of as one of the "most powerful woman" within the field of media and ranked her 12th. Guardian placed her on their list of 100 top media personalities in 2009. AOL Inc. appointed her President of their media company in 2011 following the purchased The Huffington Post. The Huffington Post included the other AOL brands such as Engadget AOLmusic Style list or Patch Media. Elli is the daughter of Konstantinos Stasinopoulos as well as Elli, who are both management consultants and journalists. While she enjoyed a strong connection to both of her parents, it was their bond that helped shape her. She showed leadership traits even in her early years. When she was in her 16th year she moved to Britain to study and enrolled at Girton College Cambridge. When she was in college she was a member of the Cambridge Union's colleges debating societies, and eventually was its first foreign female president. In 1972 she graduated with the degree of master's in Economics. Following after graduation she became an editor of the critic's column and a television host. Also, she appeared on the series Face the music along with Bernard Levin and began writing books, utilizing editorial guidance from Bernard Levin.
